Episode Twenty Two: Trauma, Safety and Multi-faceted humans, with Jane Claire Bradley
from The Divine Feminist · host Ceryn Rowntree
Following on from last month's discussion on re-membering ourselves in times of trauma, Ceryn chats about trauma, safety and being a multi-faceted human with fellow therapist Jane Claire Bradley. Jane is the integral counselling therapist behind Rebel Therapy and is also a writer, performer and creator and host of the monthly spoken word nights That's What She Said in her home town of Manchester. Elsewhere Jane hosts writing workshops and retreats within the North West of England. Together the pair discuss the different types of trauma that impact us both individually and collectively, and the ways in which those traumas can manifest within us. Sharing insights from her work together with aspects of her own experience, Jane talks about the ways in which we can work through and overcome the painful and restrictive impacts of trauma. Talking about Jane's Rebel Therapy, she and Ceryn also talk about sub-cultures, identity and what it is to be your multi-faceted self in a world so keen to keep us "normal".
