Last week’s election results signaled big wins for hunting, conservation and the 2nd Amendment. We say goodbye to Deb Halaand’s dumpster fire regime as Secretary of Interior. Florida passes Amendment 2 – the Right to Hunt and Fish, anti gun gubernatorial hopeful Ryan Busse was thrashed in the Montana governor’s race and perhaps most importantly- Prop 127 was defeated in Colorado as scientific based wildlife management won out of emotions. All great things! After discussing those topics I welcome Duck’s Unlimited’s David Schuessler back to the show. With duck season officially here, we dive into a bunch waterfowl related topics including: * takeaways from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s annual waterfowl survey * what’s up with blue winged teal? * to MOJO or not? * impact of Hurricane Helene on East Coast hunters * the boomer generation as hunting memorabilia collectors, what happens to all their treasures now? * early woodduck season? * high temps impact on fall migration across the country * DU’s annual Into the Vault auction
