I pensieri sono oggetti meravigliosi ma anche pericolosi: ci permettono di rappresentare mentalmente il mondo esterno e di riportarlo sotto il nostro controllo. O almeno così ci sembra. Ma attenzione: i problemi nascono quando consideriamo queste rappresentazioni mentali come la realtà oggettiva e ci identifichiamo con esse. La Mindfulness ci aiuta a vedere i pensieri per quello che sono: oggetti transitori, impermanenti, forme di energia psichica che nascono, esistono e si dissolvono.
