Na escola de yoga e tantra, as atividades nunca páram. Todas as semanas há palestras, retiros de fim de semana, workshops, congressos e sessões de cinema. O que os alunos não percebem é que o excesso de eventos, ensinamentos e sentimentos tem um objetivo: fazer com que, pouco a pouco, cada um deles se torne cada vez mais dependente do grupo. E que corte laços com a família e com os amigos fora da escola.  Com o tempo, e sempre na ilusão de que estão a tomar decisões de livre vontade, vão passar de alunos a discípulos. Vão sujeitar-se a regras cada vez mais restritivas, vão deixar de fazer perguntas e vão tornar-se completamente submissos. Muitos só vão aperceber-se anos mais tarde; outros ainda hoje continuam a rejeitar essa realidade.
