Ex.: EU VOU BEBER UMA CERVEJA. // CONJUGAÇÃO DO VERBO IR (PRESENT TENSE): Eu vou Você vai Ele vai Ela vai Nós vamos Eles vão Elas vão Vocês vão Some exemples in which the verb IR is not being used to express the future: Ela vai a escola todos os dias. (She goes to school everyday.) Eles vão ao supermercado todo mês. (They go to the supermarket every month.) Nós vamos à casa de nossa avó quase todo dia. (We go to our granmother’s almost everyday.) Some exemples with the verb IR being used to express the future: Ele vai trazer o bolo da festa. (He’s going to bring the Birthday’s cake.) Vai chover logo. (It’s going to rain soon) Vai fazer sol hoje. (It’s going to be sunny today.) Quando os seus pais vão se aposentar? (When are your parents going to retire?) O que você vai fazer nas suas férias? (What are you going to do on your vacation?) Eu vou sair essa noite. (I’m going to go out tonight.) O que vocês vão fazer sobre isso? (What are you going to do about it?) (EU) Vou lavar a roupa. (I’m going to do laundry.) (EU) Vou lavar a louça. (I’m going to do the dishes.) Some exemples with the negative form: Ele não vai trazer o bolo da festa (He’s not going to bring the Birthday’s cake) Não vai chover logo. (It’s not going to rain soon) Não vai fazer sol hoje. (It’s not going to be sunny today.) Eu não vou sair essa noite. (I’m not going to go out tonight.) (Eu) Não vou lavar a roupa. (I’m not going to do laundry) (Eu) Não vou lavar a louça.
