With nearly four decades of service (1953–1992), David was not only a dedicated teacher of English, Assistant Housemaster for Vinter and eventually Deputy Head, but also a tireless force behind the school’s transformation in academics, arts, music and sport.A graduate of Cambridge University, David first set foot in The Grove in Autumn 1953 as a young teaching practice student.
