Eppy 137: "They STILL Don't Want Our Stuff!"

from OK Boomer Podcast · host OK Boomer Podcast

Welcome back, Boomers, Gen Xers, and everyone who's ever tried to give away a perfectly good basket!   After five years of podcasting, we've come to accept a hard truth: our kids still don't want our stuff. And now we've learned that even our beloved Longaberger baskets are a hard pass.😢 What's next—our commemorative plates??   Meanwhile, in cold and rainy Beautiful Ohio, Laura's been playing in the dirt (a.k.a. gardening). After 37 years, she's finally switching things up. The new look? Wait for it... plastic flowers. Yes, really. Eco-chic? Weatherproof? Discuss.  Jean, on the other hand, is snacking like a frosty little woodland creature—frozen berries, frozen peas, frozen grapes. Laura's teeth hurt just thinking about it. She's sticking with her trusty bananas and spicy nuts. Hot and cold—just like our Midwestern weather!  Finally, a little love note to our new bestie: ChatGPT. Whether you need outfit advice, patio plans, or a cheerful chatbot to chat with—we're officially smitten. (It even helped us write this. Thanks, ChatGPT!)  Also—drumroll, please—Pat the Producer is a real person! Not a Chatbot! (Although she does seem to know everything...thank you Pat.)  Follow us and join the fun! We're on Instagram, X, and Facebook: @OKBoomerPod (http://OKBoomerPod.com) Catch up on episodes and more at http://OKBoomerPod.com And for our fellow podcasters and authors, check out http://SpeakUpTalkRadio.com—it's our happy place for creativity!
