Labor Day is nearly upon us, beloved listeners, and the Sneople are celebrating by doing a Labor Day special on three excellent US Union movies! The three movies in question are Matewan (1987), Norma Rae (1979) and Bread and Roses (2000). The Sneople discuss all three as stand alone films, as well as how they tie into the history of unions and each reflect the way unions have evolved. Ezra and Matty wrap up the episode with their own personal experiences with unions, and why they believe in them so strongly. Just in case it wasn’t extremely obvious, this is a very pro-union podcast. Unrelated to the topic at hand, the Sneople are also emotionally gearing up for fall and spooky movie season.
