On March 19, 2020, the Texas Attorney General issued a public health disaster declaration as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This triggered certain prohibitions under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. While these restrictions typically apply to retailers, wholesalers may also be subject to many of the same restrictions.
