She studied Animal Science at Iowa State University, where she was introduced to the swine industry. After having graduated, she worked in the processing side at Hormel Foods, then moved into the production side at Iowa Select Farms – where she first started as a Gilt Selector, and eventually,got the role of Sustainability Manager.
