Erin Clark on Crushing CCC and How to Build Trust in Yourself as a Runner

from Everyday Ultra · host Joe Corcione

This year’s CCC race in Chamonix for the female field ended up being one of the fastest to date. So, coming in the top 10 for this year’s race was no easy feat. But despite the tough competition, our guest today was able to dominate the field on her very first CCC attempt and place in 7th in this year’s race! Erin Clark is a professional trail runner for HOKA based out of Missoula, MT. She won the Golden Ticket at the Bandera 100K in 2021, raced at the collegiate level for the University of Colorado, and most recently placed 7th for females at this year’s CCC race in Chamonix. In this episode (which happens to be our very first post-UTMB recap episode!), Erin breaks down the details, stories, and insights from her epic race at CCC. Most notably, she shares how she was able to harness her mindset to serve her best while she was out in the race, and what her big key takeaways to her success were. Erin also shares how she trained for CCC, what her top 10 finish meant to her, and reflects on the massive growth she’s had as an athlete over the past few years.
