Eschatology Series 14: Matthew 24:32-34 This Generation

This part of the Olivet Discourse has had many for years debating and changing words to fit their views.  Some, such as C.S. Lewis, call this part the most embarrassing verse of the Bible and that since Jesus was wrong, His Disciples were themselves delusional.  That should make one wonder if, in fact, Jesus was wrong (which He was not), what else could He have been wrong about?  Why trust the Apostles teaching and the inspiration of scripture if Jesus was wrong?  It should be clear He was addressing the current generation of those alive when He uttered these words.  All other uses of the phrase "this generation" meant so, so why wouldn't that be the case here?  If Jesus meant a future far off group of people He simply would have said "that generation" instead of "this".
