Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. [Ephesians 6:17b] This is our offensive tool that we can use to cut, wound, hurt, and make the devil flee. In a battle, having defensive weapons is a great asset to any warrior. However, if you only go into battle with only defensive weapons, you may be able to protect yourself from being hurt, but there is no way that would be able to win the battle.
