Essential Skills for a Better Mother-in-law / Daughter-in-Law Relationship

Through the years, I have coached, interviewed, and reached out to people to ask for their experiences with their daughter-in-law or mother-in-law and, quite frankly, it makes me sad.The responses I have gotten are 99% negative about their relationship with their in-law.Why is that?
