Essentials in Leadership | Episode 9 | Hate Evil
from Duane Sheriff Ministries - Messages Hosted by Duane Sheriff
What happens when a culture no longer fears God and begins celebrating what God calls evil? In Episode 9 of “Essentials in Leadership,” Duane Sheriff teaches that the fear of the Lord is not only reverencing God—it is about learning to hate evil and cling to what is good. Drawing from Proverbs, Romans, and Psalms, Duane explains that wisdom begins with the fear of God and that true leadership requires the courage to stand for truth in a culture that increasingly rejects God’s standards. Biblical love is not hypocrisy—it rejoices in truth and abhors evil. This message clarifies the difference between loving people and tolerating evil. Christians are called to walk in God’s love toward everyone while refusing to celebrate, excuse, or embrace what Scripture calls sin. While cultural pressures may urge believers to compromise their convictions, Duane challenges leaders to remain steadfast in their reverence for God, to uphold righteousness, and to speak the truth in love—demonstrating both courage and compassion.
