Esther Devised a Plan to Save Her People. What About You?

from Afghan Radio - Sound of Life · host Hope for Afghans

Esther and Mordecai believed that God would deliver His people, but they did not sit back and do nothing. God is sovereign over all things, but He works through man. That is why we must participate in the fulfilment of His will, not just watch and pray. Many people believe in God’s promises, but are not willing to take action. After the decree to kill the Jews was issued, Mordecai and Esther could have despaired and thought only of their own salvation, or they could have waited for God to intervene. Therefore, they seized the opportunity and took action. So how can you be saved from death? Not only is the body healed from physical illness through the name of Jesus, but more importantly, their soul is also saved from spiritual illness, which is sin. Some ask: Why do Christians preach so much? Why don’t they let people follow their religion? The answer to this group of people is that salvation is only possible through faith in Christ. Jesus came to save sinners like you and me. If this same Jesus saves us and lives within us, then we will be eager to share the good news of salvation with other lost sinners.
