She prepared well, which is the hard work for any of us when we are faced with a choice. Defining moments require preparation and surrender. Not only did Esther prepare well, but she surrendered the outcome to God. He didn’t fail her in her defining moment. In our tough choices, we can surrender the outcomes to God because he doesn’t need to prove his commitment to us—he already has through his grace. And we can’t force God to do what we want by being faithful.
