It is a gaseous state containing a high number of electrically charged particles ("ionized" gases).Characteristics: Energy is higher than other states; atoms are separated into positive ions and free electrons.Occurrence: Naturally found in phenomena like lightning and the Northern lights.Bose-Einstein Condensate (BEC): The fifth state of matter. It is formed by cooling an extremely low-density gas to temperatures very close to absolute zero.
