Aos 26 anos de idade, Waldis foi campeã mundial JR em 2012 e teve muito sucesso na base. Hoje luta para encontrar o seu lugar na elite do mountain bike e, principalmente, ser feliz mesmo sem o domínio e a supremacia do início da carreira. Para isso, ela estuda para se tornar professora e também pedala na Estrada e na Pista, modalidade em que esteve muito perto de se classificar para a Olimpíada de Tóquio.
