Ethereal gossamer wings
from Daily Picture Hosted by Stephanie Hawkins
Today I was aware of ethereal translucent gossamer wings. The Hebrew word kanaph for wing is also used for the corner and border of a garment. Malachi, the last prophet who is mentioned in the Old Testament, prophesied of Jesus (4:2): "But for you who revere my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings ...". We hear in gospels Matthew, Mark and Luke of the woman who had been hemorrhaging for 12 years who desperately reached out to touch the hem of Jesus's garment as she knew she would be healed and Jesus declared that she was indeed healed because of her faith. (See Matthew 9:20-22). Later on in Matthew's gospel we read that all who touched the edge of Jesus's cloak were healed. (See Matthew 14:34 -36). Let us also reach out in faith toJesus.
