Richard Holt, professor emeritus and clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, examines  both the public health and ethical issues associated with the current novel coronavirus infections and explains the differences in disease outbreak, epidemic, and pandemic in the context of this current health crisis.
