Etiquette, Envelopes & Elbows on the Table with Alison Cheperdak

from LandonTalks with Kate · host Redd Rock Music, LLC

We have a very special guest today, y'all. Our friend Alison Cheperdak of Elevate Etiquette is here, and she is just as lovely as you'd expect. We got to meet Alison in Richmond, Virginia, and immediately knew she was our people. She's built an incredible community online, and we've genuinely learned so much from her. Today we get into all things etiquette, from how to address an envelope to a same-sex couple to what to do when you forget someone's name, to whether or not you should put your elbows on the table (and why the rule even exists in the first place). Alison breaks it all down with so much warmth and zero judgment, which is honestly the whole vibe. She tells us about her background as a competitive figure skater, a TV news reporter, and a practicing attorney before she found her calling in etiquette. Plus, her brand new book Was It Something I Said? comes out March 17th and it is beautiful. We talk about the design process, her book tour hitting cities from New York to Nashville to Palm Beach, and how her friend Lauren illustrated almost a hundred drawings for the book. If you've ever wondered what fork to use, what to wear, or how to be thoughtful in a tricky situation, this one's for you. We had the best time.
