EU announces new tax simplification package

The EU has announced plans to massively simplify tax rules relating to cross border transitions. One example of this is withholding tax but they might also include common VAT thresholds, standardising deductions from income taxes and perhaps a single website for reporting all EU-related tax returns. Joe Lynam was joined by Neil Hughes, Chief executive of the consultants Azets to discuss.
