Founded by Alessandro Bruschettini, the foundation is internationally recognized for its outstanding collection of Islamic and Asian art. Under her leadership, the foundation has focused on exploring the cultural and historical significance of Islamic art in a global context.Mina Moraito is the curator at the Benaki Museum of Islamic Art in Athens. She is an art historian with over 30 years of experience, specializing in Islamic art and curating exhibitions. She received a postgraduate diploma (1992) and an MA in Islamic Art History (1996) from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Since joining the Benaki Museum in 1992, she has played a pivotal role in establishing the museum's Department of Islamic Art (2004) and has curated numerous exhibitions.Dr. Rasmus Bech Olsen is a curator at the David Collection in Copenhagen, a private museum in Denmark renowned for its outstanding collection of Islamic art. He was part of the team that curated the acclaimed exhibition "Beyond Words: Calligraphy in the Islamic World" (2024-2025).
