This week’s theme EUROVISION includes songs that have won or been in the semi-finals of the competition. The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) was first held in 1956 in Switzerland. 70 contests have been held since then with 1,789 songs representing 52 countries. According to the Guinness World Records the ESC is the longest-running annual international televised music competition in the world. Australia has been represented 11 times since first taking part in 2015.
