How much blame does Beane deserve for that? According to Patrick, not much. Buffalo was crippled with injuries for a second straight year but Beane strategically had enough quality veteran depth to keep the train chugging as the Bills did capture their fourth consecutive divisional title.From bringing back Jordan Poyer and Tyrel Dodson to adding guys like Leonard Floyd, Connor McGovern and David Edwards in addition to finding two immediate starters in the draft and adding Rasul Douglas before the trade deadline, Patrick feels Beane did everything realistically possible to have the Bills in position to win a Super Bowl in 2023.Instead, the blame goes to the combination of bad injury luck late in the season and the reality that too many Bills star players not named Josh Allen fell on their face against the Chiefs in the playoffs.
