Evans Flips to Vanderbilt

Louisville’s 2027 recruiting class just took another hit as four-star cornerback Allen Evans flipped his commitment from the Cardinals to Vanderbilt. A standout from Louisville Trinity, Evans is a 6-foot-2 defensive back rated 94 overall and 76th nationally by 247Sports — one of the highest-rated recruits ever for Louisville. Originally choosing Louisville over Alabama and Michigan, Evans was wooed by Vanderbilt’s late April offer and a recent visit to Nashville. On the field, he was dominant at Trinity, recording 28 tackles and two interceptions as a junior, earning MaxPreps Second-Team Junior All-American honors and helping his team win three straight state titles. This marks the third decommitment for Louisville in two weeks and the fifth overall for the 2027 class — though they still hold 16 commitments and remain ranked 29th nationally.
