All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath. — Ephesians 2:3Human nature is spiritually dead and hostile to God from conception, leaving no hope apart from divine intervention. Only the Spirit’s work of regeneration can replace a heart of stone with one that responds to grace. This reality magnifies the wonder of God’s unconditional mercy in Christ.
