The summer heat is here and so is a heavier load on our country's electrical grid. The U.S. Northeast, Northwest, and areas of Texas and California face an elevated risk of blackouts from extreme weather and overextended power grids. Combine the normal load increase with a sharp rise in expansion of AI data centers, digital infrastructure, and industrial electrification. Proponents of nuclear power say it supplies cleaner and more reliable energy than other sources, especially during extreme weather events. FOX’s Tonya J.
