Evening Edition: New Bill Seeks To Reduce Cost For Home Buyers

The House Energy and Commerce Committee has introduced the Homeowner Energy Freedom Act, legislation aimed to repeal three provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) that restricts homeowners choices of home appliances and stringent energy codes for new homes. The Biden administration’s mandates for green energy wanted to end the use of gas appliances, forcing homeowners to switch to electric appliances. The new legislation is said to save new buyers over 30-thousand dollars on their home. FOX’s Ryan Schmelz speaks with Rep.
