Markets hit some record highs this week ahead of President Trump’s trade negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea with expectations it will be a positive meeting. Meanwhile, Amazon is announcing almost 14,000 corporate job layoffs as the company continues its increased spending on artificial intelligence while cutting costs in other places. Amazon's CEO Andy Jassy says he is confident that generative AI would reduce Amazon’s corporate workforce in the next few years, and now it looks like it has begun.
