Evening Edition: President Trump Wants New Arms Treaty With Russia

Today marked the expiration of the last remaining nuclear arms control treaty between Washington and Moscow: the 'New START' treaty. It was an agreement, signed under President Obama, between the United States and Russia which limited the number of weapons each country could deploy on their missiles, bombers and submarines. In a 'Truth Social' post, President Trump said that the U.S. should pursue a new agreement rather than extend the 15-year-old 'New START' treaty.
