do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness, — Hebrews 3:8The day of temptation in the wilderness — that's where Israel failed, and that's where Christ succeeded. Each person is tempted when drawn away by his own desire. Israel lusted in the wilderness and put God to the test. But Jesus, full of the Spirit, was led into the wilderness and overcame every temptation. Because He Himself suffered when tempted, He's able to help those who are being tempted.
