keep yourselves in the love of God as you await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life. — Jude 1:21God's love is not a fleeting feeling but a secure reality in Christ. Believers are called to actively remain in that love by obeying His commands and abiding in Him as branches in the vine. This keeping of oneself in the love of God is a response to His initiating, unwavering love demonstrated at the cross. To abide is to bear fruit and dwell in the One who is love itself.
