Therefore if you have any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, — Philippians 2:1Our entire Christian life—every bit of encouragement, comfort, and fellowship—flows from the triune God as a free gift. You do not climb toward Him; He bends down to you in Christ, through the Spirit, with the Father's love. This means your standing before God never depends on your spiritual performance, only on His steadfast grace.
