Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen. A brief silence is kept Grant your faithful people, merciful Lord, pardon and peace; that we may be cleansed from all our sins, and serve you with a quiet mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, * for his faithful love endures forever. 2  Who can speak of the mighty deeds of the LORD, * or proclaim all his praise? 3  Blessed are they who act with justice, * who practice righteousness at all times. 4  Remember me, O LORD, with the favor of your people; * O visit me with your salvation, 5  that I may see the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the joy of your nation, * that I may glory with your inheritance. 6  Both we and our fathers have sinned; * we have committed iniquity; we have acted wickedly. 7  Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, * did not consider your wondrous works; 7  they did not remember the abundance of your mercies, * but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. 8  Nevertheless, he saved them for his name's sake, *
