Event welcomes ideas about future Floresville railroad museum

Gary Rodriguez, president of the San Antonio Railroad Heritage Museum, makes a point during the Floresville Heritage and Railroad Museum’s first National Train Day event May 9 to share an artist’s concept of a restored railroad track crossing Trail Street near the Floresville El Camino Trail. If realized, along with the restoration of the historical depot as a museum, a short passenger train could offer brief excursions from Elmendorf to Floresville and points farther south.
