Evergreen UWCD awards scholarships

The Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District has announced the four winners of its 2026 scholarship contest for graduating high school seniors. This year, scholarship contestants were tasked with creating a “call to action” campaign poster that highlights the importance of conserving water and protecting aquifers within their local communities. The contest was open to graduating high school students residing in one of the four counties within the district’s jurisdiction — Atascosa, Frio, Karnes, and Wilson.
