Everwood: S1E4: The Kissing Bridge

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of I Left My Heart In Everwood: An Everwood Podcast. Today, I covered S1E4: The Kissing Bridge, which aired on October 7, 2002. In this episode, Dr. Brown and Dr. Abbott must put their striking differences aside to educate the town of Everwood after several of their teen-aged patients are diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease. To make sensitive matters worse, Dr. Abbott has reason to suspect that his son Bright may have been intimate with one of the patients. Meanwhile, Ephram pushes his romantic feelings aside to comfort Amy, who is distraught over not being able to go to the Fall Dance with her boyfriend, as he is still comatose. I really enjoyed this episode. We get a gonorrhea outbreak at Everwood High Andy and Harold “Let’s Talk About Safe Sex” Doctors Assembly Delia and her confused relationship/possible friendship with Magilla Surprisingly, there was no Nina this episode Irv and Edna as he comforts her as she’s missing her first husband Hal Sr it’s especially hard when she gets news that The Kissing Bridge is set to be demolished, a lot of her history with her first husband is wrapped up in the bridge, from their first kiss, to their proposal and then the reveal of her pregnancy with Harold their first child. I loved Andy and Harold trading parenting tips of how best to discipline their children while on their way to Denver to pick up Amy and Ephram. Ephram’s selfless act of helping Amy head to Denver to visit a still comatose Collin to ask him to go to the Fall Dance with her. Poor Delia is still plugging away at trying to nail down a friendship with Magilla who when she visits reveals a secret sweet side of himself. Edna and Harold at the sight of The Kissing Bridge as Edna closes the door and on her past by blowing up the bridge, her way of grieving. In this episode After a lost deer makes the Browns' backyard its new home, Andy insists on accompanying Ephram, who decides to help the animal find its way home to the wilderness. Meanwhile, Ephram finally admits to Amy that he never asked his father to consider operating on her boyfriend, Colin, who is in a coma; and Delia questions the existence of God.
