In this series, we’re learning some of the most critical pieces to our daily walk with God.Every Day: "Look to Serve and Share"#1. I need a new approach to my life.Philippians 2: 3Do nothing from selfishness / jockeying for position / pushing yourself to the front or empty conceit / an overinflated view of self-importance, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;reasons we struggle with thinking of others…-our nature-our American mindset-the church’s mindset-wrapped up in our own problems-don’t realize the hurt other people are facing-don’t remember what is at stake#2. Look to serveMatthew 20: 25-28 25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles / nations / rest of the world lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. 26 It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, 27 and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave / servant; 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom / a liberating payment for many.”John 13: 4-54 (He) got up from supper, and laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself. 5 Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. John 13: 12-1512 So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you."My desire: All day long, I will look to be a blessing in other people’s lives.#3. Look to shareRomans 10: 14How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?things to consider when sharing…#1. truly care#2. be the real deal#3. listen for how God is at work in their lives#4. offer to pray for them#5. when the door opens, share!John 4: 35Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. What’s “The Big Idea” today?I have been left on this earth to be a blessing.Every day, I need to look for opportunities to serve & to share.
