Every Thought Captive

[Intro] 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says: “For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, since the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.” [Verse 1] The thoughts come like an army in the middle of the night They tell me I am finished, they tell me I’m not right I wrestle with the memories, the failures and the fear The battlefield is in my mind and the enemy is near [Chorus] We take every thought captive to Christ We bring down every stronghold in Your light In the battlefield inside our minds We take every thought captive to Christ [Verse 2] I tried to fight it in my strength, I tried to stand alone But every time I gained some ground the battle still raged on The strongholds had been standing for so many years inside I needed something greater than the power of my pride [Chorus] We take every thought captive to Christ We bring down every stronghold in Your light In the battlefield inside our minds We take every thought captive to Christ [Verse 3] So here I am surrendering the battles that I lose I bring You every thought that I cannot refuse I lay them at the foot of the cross where Your mercy flows so free And in the name of Jesus every stronghold has to leave [Bridge] Not by my power, not by my might But by Your Spirit and the blood of Christ I submit to You, I resist the lie The victory belongs to the Lord on high Only in Jesus, only by His grace Only through faith in the finished work He made [Chorus] We take every thought captive to Christ We bring down every stronghold in Your light In the battlefield inside our minds We take every thought captive to Christ [Outro] Only in Christ the strongholds fall Only in Christ we overcome it all Only by faith in the risen Son The battle is won, the battle is won Only in Christ… only in Christ 🙏❤️🙏 This is a public episode.
