Everybody has their own problems
from R3ciprocity.com - Prof David Maslach: Innovation; Research Life; Striving Towards Happiness · host David Maslach
Often you’ll see people that you admire, whether it’s because of their performance or their stature. You look at them like they are heroic or superhuman. But, what you don’t realize is that those people have their own problems. Maybe not in what you see, bug they do in other areas. You’re only seeing one small aspect of their life. If you saw their life completely and holistically, you would seem to discover that they’re just as messed up as everybody else. One thing that I repeat is remind myself is that everybody has their own problems. We are all human. Most of us deal with many other things in our lives. Don’t idolize other people. You need to understand their complete picture, before you start thinking about how wonderful they actually are. I guess what I’m saying is that you should learn to appreciate your own life, before you start looking to other people. Most people are no better or worse than you, you just don’t understand the complete picture. Everybody sucks just like you.
