Everyday Prophecy: Week 1 React or Respond?

If you have ever read through some of the stories of the prophets in the Bible, you understand that the prophets were often charged to deliver difficult messages from God to the people. For most people, delivering difficult news is not an easy task. I think of Jonah… he actually ran away and tried not to do what God had directly told him to do. As the saying goes, ‘Don’t shoot the messenger.” In today’s story, Ezekiel is given specific instructions to deliver a message to a difficult audience. The people of Israel had been in rebellion, and this is just the latest round in the ongoing saga between God and God’s people. Join as we look at what this story from the Bible means for us today.
