The term 'ransom for his soul' used in this context serves as a potent reminder of our separation from God through sin, and the necessity to pay a ransom for our transgressions.Now, picture the tabernacle, a sanctuary that served as a physical representation of divine truth. The priests washing their feet before entering this holy place is an act that conveys a powerful message of salvation. But how does this relate to us, the believers of today? We are not without sin, yet the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross has freed us from the perpetual need for atonement. His role as our high priest and intercessor cleanses us, bridging the gap our sins create between us and God.  Just as the anointing oil was used to set apart items for divine use, we too are anointed for a unique purpose in His grand plan.
