Everything Changed After This

On July 14, I was convinced I needed a sign. I had just shared an idea I was genuinely excited about—a book club—and when nobody responded, I started wondering if the silence meant I was on the wrong path. Was I doing something wrong? Was I too small - only 25 subscribers? Should I keep going? What I didn’t know when I recorded this episode was that things were about to change. Within weeks, I saw something I’d been waiting all summer to see, set a very specific birthday goal, published the piece that finally made everything feel like it was coming together, and watched my little corner of the internet grow in ways I couldn’t have predicted. Now, listening back from the other side of it, I’m struck by how quickly things can change when you simply don’t quit. So this week, while I’m away, I’m replaying that July episode—and reflecting on what happened in the blink of an eye afterward.
