Evidence of a Hope Filled, Abundant Life

from bradamckinney · host bradamckinney

This morning we will discover that the faith and hope of the saints of old was based on their conviction that God's promise and provision was and and continues to be the hope of the resurrection of the dead unto life eternal with God. Our lesson will begin with the Apostle Paul in chains giving his defense before the Roman governor Felix against the evil accusations of the Jewish leaders and lawyers who desired to silence Paul and the proclamation of the gospel of Christ! We learn from this historical event that the faith and hope of the Old Testament faithful saints was in God keeping His promise for the provision of deliverance through the resurrection. In the Law, the Pentateuch, which is the first five books of the bible we discover in typology and foreshadowing the resurrection unto life communicated in the life of Noah and Abraham. In the Prophets we find clear statements about the hope of all men and women of faith regarding the resurrection of the dead unto life eternal! The hope of all God's people both present and past is that we will all rejoice at the resurrection of the dead and living into eternal joy with Christ at His coming!
