This interview is with Ewald Moseler. In this interview, Ewald describes his upbringing in the Mosel region of Germany, and his early impressions of vineyards and wine. He goes on to explain how he found himself with a career in the German army, and how wine found its way back into his life again. After his time in the army, Ewald found himself hitchhiking up and down the US west coast when the wine bug finally got him. Later in the interview, Ewald describes bringing German and Austrian wines to Oregon through his distribution company. He walks us through his time in Oregon and what it has meant for him to share wines from his home with the PNW. Ewald concludes his interview with his hope for the future and his impressions of the Oregon wine industry.
