Examining the EU energy and climate package and Congressional energy legislation

In this installment, GMF Program Associate Ulrike Leis sat down with Alexandra Langenheld from the European Commission Directorate on General Energy and Transport, Jeff Skeer from the U.S. Dept. of Energy, and GMF Transatlantic Fellow Tim Searchinger. The group discussed current trends in biofuels legislation, focusing on the new EU Energy and Climate package and the new Congressional energy bill on energy production in U.S. and EU, examining whether the legislations from both sides of the Atlantic help and not harm environment.
