WELCOME THE MWSA PODCAST FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 17TH   According to a new study, a larger-than-average number of Canadians have died this year and the numbers were also trending higher in 2021 and 2022. So, what’s behind this disturbing increase and how do these ‘stats’ compare to other countries? We get some answers from Infectious Disease Researcher Tara Moriarty.   It’s been a hot summer in the city of Calgary and while we all do what we can to ‘beat the heat’, have you ever wondered how the animals ‘keep their cool’ at the Zoo? We check in with Colleen Baird from the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo to talk about the hot weather ‘challenges’ faced by the residents of the zoo and what the ‘Keepers do to cool things down!   And finally, if you’re a dog lover and you’re interested in helping out a GREAT organization, we’ve got you covered!
