Warren Thomas, founder and CEO, explains the 1031 exchange approach to the sale and purchase of properties.  Their firm creates portfolios of properties for investors looking for replacement property options.  These properties are typically triple net lease arrangements, where there is little management and strong cash flow.  They purchase about $50 - 70 million of commercial properties every 90 days, and manage properties in 27 states.  This pooled approach to 1031 exchanges is called a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST).  Real Estate investors will find this interview to be very interesting.
